Default How far should the input shaft stick out past the bellhousing

Long story short, 24v cummins, putting a 93 getrag bellhousing behind it with a nv 4500. That's the summary, obviously have to do some adapting, and need help on the spacing. Thanks.

im not sure i understand whats goin on... a 4500 behind a 24v is a normal setup, but u need to forget about using parts that were used with a getrag. the plate on the back of the block is different for a first and second gen dodge. the thin plate was on the first gens. if u wanna use that u must have the starter and special long nv4500 bell to go with it, but not a getrag bell. otherwise u need to make it the same way it originaly was: thick plate on the engine, normal dodge 4500 bell with the slave cylinder up in the middle, and second gen and later starter.

incase u dont know what starter u have, look at the motor part. the first gen starter has the bolts that hold the end cap on going down the outside of the feild housing, the second gen the only thing u can see of the bolts is the heads cause they are on the inside of the motor
