Default Need Some Help Popping/Miss When Warm

just bought a 96 12v 320,000 miles over the weekend had a bad turbo, replaced the turbo ran fine for about 15 mins then started popping/missing and lost alot of power did start blowing some light blue smoke but i think that was some oil that was in the intercooler from when the turbo went out on it, did some reading decided to replace the fuel filter and clean the pre filter screen and change the oil, made a huge difference in throttle response and ran great for about a half hour until it warmed up the started its popping studdering again and lost power no smoke this time, (happens at idle and more so on accel) so i decided to check the fuel pressure, checked it at the filter banjo bolt and had 55psi at idle seemed like a lot to me. the truck starts real easy even in the cold weather here in michigan amd im new to the diesel thing and dont know much about them any help is greatly appreciated as this is starting to bug me

any way this could be pump timing? my buddies a diesel mechanic and told me to get the pump timing checked first but im thinking if its the timing that it would happen all the time rather that just when its warmed up and i dont want to go and have to pay a shop to check it if its not that??? any one have an opinion on this?

its the over flow valve bc if it was u would lose fuel psi and u didnt do that my buddys 95 was doing almost the same thing and we put new injectors in it and runs great now

you would think but u said it did it more in accel witch is when your trying to give it more full and if u plan on doing any other mods injectors wouldnt hurt but that would be what i would do

have a 96 work truck at a friends car lot doin the exact same thing i told him its either slipped timing, injectors, or bad lift pump. i would also think its injectors hand down from my experience and not timing becuase of other sypmtoms of timing and not a lift pump just cuz of the poppin but chime in on this it would help me too

im wondering now will low compression cause this? i have the front of my truck tore apart with the timing cover off and when i turn the motor over i can hear a hissing coming from the crankcase, im assuming this its blowby but im thinking its alot more than what should be there??? anyone know if this is normal?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

checked the timing the pin way today and checks out good so ruled out timing

im still thinkin injectors and i reckon a compression test would see how high or lows urs is. u can have the head shaved and do a thicker gasket
