Default injector pumps

hey guys okay i have this 1994 dodge cummins 2500 and it has the 7100 injecter pump in her and i wanted to know what if i put a 1998 12 valve pump in it will it make a diffrince or will it be the same?

i believe only if that pump comes off a 5 speed will there be a difference. someone else may want to chime in.

Your pump is a 160 hp pump and if you do a 98 pump off an automatic it would be a 180 hp pump and if its off a 1998 manual it would be a 215 hp pump.

okay cuz i have a 6 speed in mine. i gust hade a 1998 pump that come off my other dodge that was laying there so i thanke i am going to puter on some time

save yourself some work and do a search on how to mod the pumps

i have done all that u can do to the pump my truck comes out to 550 hp and 1,500 t foot pounds of torce

i have the ho 215 pump it has bigger delivery valves and one more degree of timing..i think thats all that changes..am i correcT?

that pump has more in it than 550hp

the 215's do have defferent dv's (181's) the cam is defferent from the 160/175 pumps, the plunger is different in the 215 pump ( has a built in retard notch), and I think the gov assembly is slightly different.

Govenor assembly is lighter.
