Default NEED HELP FAST

im in the middle of swapping transmissions. my truck is a 98 12 valve auto 4x4. im swappin my auto for a 5 speed out of a 2001 4x4. i have dropped the transmission , crossmember , driveshafts , etc. only thing left is steering colum and pedals. my question is the wiring. im swapping steering colums for him to be able to put the truck in gear which means im having to pull my door handles too so he can use my keys and ill be recieving his colum and handles. on the wiring part theres not a seperate section just for the tranny for him i dont know how to explain wat i need help with though. do we need to swap wiring harness? computers? any way he can rig his for automatic? i need help fast. would he need my computer would all his wiring work on my truck. please reply or pm or call me as soon as possible any help is appreciated!!!

well if its like a newer dodge the computer that controls the tranny has to stay with that tranny or be flashed and programed to the new one

do i need to swap harnesses? would his harness work on my truck. i have no brains in this
