Yep that did the trick!Pushed the throttle and it actually moved!I just went to the gas station and checked my fuel mileage.about 15.78mpg city...not bad but lets see if cleaning the tps increases it.thanks again for ur help.

I didnt realize the mechanical trucks had a TPS? Do they all have them more specifically does my 97 have one?

I'm thinking it's just emissions trucks from california would have that stuff, not 100% sure though

I would hate to think I have had my truck for 12 years and didnt realize it had a TPS I knew my 03 and 07 had them but not Ole Greenie.

Yeah, they used a TPS in the 94-98 12 valves. I think it may be auto trans only. It ends up feeding a signal to the trans for o/d and tc lockup.
