Default need help with my speedometer!

ok well i have a 1996 truck BUT my transfer case is out of a 1998 or newer truck (going by the transfer case shift lever) im being told the reason my speedo dont work is because it wont work with this transfer case and i cant find a sensor so is there a way to make this work?

the speed sensor is driven either off the output shaft of the t case or on the rear axel, sounds like yours cam off the t case. Look on the tailshaft of the case you should see where the speed sensor should mount

can i make something up to at least have my speedometer working?

ok i just looked at it i didnt see any wires at all coming off the transfer case and i made a mistake i dont see anysensor for my speedometer just chilling under my truck...and on the rear i only seen a sensor dead center on top of the pump...is that it?
