Has any one on here put a dana 80 dually rear end on 2500 to make it a dually 2500? if so how hard is it and how much modding is needed?

Cab 12valve CTD: 5x.018 Injectors, Laser Cut Dvs, No Plate, AFC Removed, 060HP Overflow Valve, 60lb valve springs, 4gsk, Timing set at 16.5*, Airdog 2 165, Super B Special, BHAF, Dual 5" Stacks off a Kenworth, Autometer Ultralite gauges (Boost, Trans Temp, Pyro), Diamond T single disk torque converter, TransGo TFOD Diesel Shift Kit.

I've been thinking about the same thing, just not sure if anything is different besides the rearend and the box

I would assume it shouldnt be to hard, it would be pretty sweet though. Im guessing it would be just like having a 3500

the dana 80 is narrower

joshbaker's Sig:2006 f250 6.0l. Sinister full egr delete, straigh 4" exhaust from turbo back, blue spring upgrade, fp gauge, SCT tuned by RCD, CCV filter, 6" lift with 35x13.50's, coolant filter, S&B CAI, Banks CAC tube, AD100, RCD 155/30% injectors.

I was told that drw dana 80 is 2 inches wider than a srw dana 70

if your truck had a single wheel dana 80 then the dual wheel dana 80 is a direct bolt in. the cab and chassis rearend is narrower.

a dually dana 80 from a regular dually will bolt in to a 2500 truck. a dually dana 80 from a cab chassis will not work. SRW and DRW beds are the same so you can order dually sides and bolt em onto a SRW bed however you will need to cut your wheel well larger. for the front if its 4x4 all you will need are the dually spacers you do not need the whole axle.
