| 12 Valve 2nd Gen Dodge Cummins 94-98 Discussion of 12 Valve 5.9 Liter Dodge Cummins Diesels with P7100 Injection Pumps |
After being confused and frusrated, I went to a local shop which is run by a ex-dodge cummins specialist. I explained all the problems and things I had found and showed him the pdc I have (without the relay). He looked at it and said ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

After being confused and frusrated, I went to a local shop which is run by a ex-dodge cummins specialist. I explained all the problems and things I had found and showed him the pdc I have (without the relay). He looked at it and said " huh, then we won't worry about it, just splice in behind the battery box".
Well I did just that. I removed the air bx and spliced into the # 54 wire ( bottom row, left side, fourth from the mounting bolt). After sending it through a swith to ground I have the lock up switch!! This splicing is much like the ones on the web regarding the 94-95 Cummins. I don't know if my truck is and odd ball or not. The truck is a legitimate '97 and if something was rewired or converted they did one @#$% of a job because it look and fits factory and seems untouched. Thanks to everybody who chimed in on this. |
