new to diesel bombers but on my second cummins need a little help
OK so since i read just about every thread on here and have fixed my truck multiple times because of the knowledge of people on this site i figured i should join up. Now here is my problem i have a 98 2500 4x4 12v and not matter what you do it will not fire up with out hitting the gas pedal now this is the first 12v ive had before this was a 01 24v and got talked into the 12v i have a decent amount of mods but it has dine this since the day i bought any suggestions would be great thanks
mods: no fuel plate, afc reworked, 4 inch turbo back no muffler, afe intake, ats stage one tranny, and ever thing else is to make the truck around that not fall apart

yes no matter how long or how far you always have to hit the gas pedal and today i did its valve lash adjustment and i had read somewhere on here i thinks that the throttle linkage had to be set to where it had five inches from the center of the ball on throttle hook in to the front of the cable bracket if that makes sense well that caused me to have to adjust that piece of junk metal rod that runs to the bottom shut down sol. it when i started it fire right up but was running at 1200 rpms so i turn the bar back out so now im guessing it needs a little tweak here or there and as for timing that was my next thing to check out not sure if it was adjusted before i bought it but any ideas on the whole throttle linkage junk would be great thanks for replying

Already checked - the recall actually is on 96 and 97's not 98's. And yes, even after all these years they would still have to do it because its safety related.
