AS posted, the tail housing and the output shaft are different, everything else is the same. You will need a press and some special tools to get the overdrive unit apart to swap the output shaft.

I left mine behind at the tranny shop so i cannot measure it.
Very easy to make.Two upright pcs connected to a cross piece in a "U" shape. Very easy to figure the measurements once the OD shaft is out of the housing. |

4" diameter, 3" ID at bottom, 5" tall.
![]() Next, you will need an old intermediate shaft you can cut down to align the splines up when you put it back together. Without this you will never get the OD unit back on the transmission. |
