thanks You guys. I found one at a local diesel shop for $190. I may give my business to them. Never hurts to know people.

What the heck dont waste your money on expensive electrical parts. I put a lawn mower cable on mine and it works like a champ.

Don't know haven't tried. I thought about the cable route but I need the truck running fast and reliable for the moment. If I had the time to install cable etc... I probably would

Default Run it without!

The truck will run with the solenoid disconnected from the fuel valve. You will need to open the hood to shut it down though. I ran a 94 box truck that way for a year then went for my 3rd solenoid to make it sell-able.

watch going with the cable method, it can get costly...... I had a 93 and had the cable set up. While my son got out of the truck (he was 7 at the time) he pushed the cable back in without even knowing it. I had a 27' goose neck on truck and was pushing another 93 parts truck on the trailer with a tractor. The snow plow harness cought the trailer just enough to bump my truck forward. IT PUSH STARTED IT!!! Before I get off of the tractor and cought the truck it went a 1/2 block down the alley, pushed a van over the side walk and ran up on a porch. The trailor was all the way across the road and the truck was still trying to climb thru the front door of the house. It took a long time to explain it the village cop and even longer to explain it to the insurance nerd .
