Default light switch

all of a sudden my parking lights or any accessory lights i have tapped into the quit working.
checked all fuses. there good. i tested the yellow black wire coming off the back of the switch. no power. cut the wire and put a hot 15amp wire to the parking lights wire. all the lights lit. so the switch isnt giving the parking lights there power. but the headlights work.
i have the lights on a toggle switch for now. i just wanted to double check that you guys think its the switch also before i buy one. thanks -

i found that the back of your switch will burn ,melt due to bad connections , burns the terminals up and the point of contact, autozone sells the whole thing, for $63.00 new switch + harnness plug and splice 9 wires and use your same knob, you will eventually get to smell your switch burning , i let it ride untill it started getting dark earlier, driving 50 miles home in the dark with nothing but parking, foglights sucks( part #hl157) i think ..... -

Did you have them run your VIN for recall work that wasn't completed or asked them about a headlight switch recall? -

do ya let her drive it? i let mine climb behind the wheel n she loves it now. the first time she drove it some guy in a beamer was tail gaitin her n she was gettin kinda nervous so she turned the whole road black for him. and she's never been the same . she loves the "power" when the tc locks. its quite a difference from that little 4 banger sunfire she drives -

Ok sorry to tell you guys this but the recall was only on 96 and newer 1 ton trucks only even tho its the same damn switch I argued and argued with them for 2 months about this and even wrote a letter to the transportation saftey board but it didn't do any damn good either. Here's the bright side with the cash for clunkers program there's a ton of gasser dodges goin into the junk yards and most of them still have the switch I got 6 of them hahaha -

I have this condition, where I perceive OEM parts as 'broken' and in need of aftermarket replacement.
