govenor springs will do the job, but you can tighten your stock spring and get a few more rpms out of it. -

The spring goes right into the afc housing under the fuel plate. I don't know how to tighten it, but thats what the guy who did my first fuel plate did to my governor spring. But if you can figure out how to tighten it, or get a 3200/4k by this weekend we can learn how to do it together since I'll be watching my parents house in Belen this weekend while their gone -

Regardless, Anyone will tell you tightning the springs can cause driveability issues. Adjusting them is pretty simple. I tell most folks to go through the side plug (Less chance of dropping somthing in the pump) I do mine from the top most the time.
Take the plug out, Roll it (motor) over till you see the spring and retainer.
We've got 4K's on special right now. Another common issue that isnt noticed until fuel is added would be the gov. arm getting under the plate and hanging! The gov arm should always be adjusted once and new plate and gov. springs are installed! Or atleast checked! -

this one might be a little more helpful than the packbrake pdf. Reading the pacbrake instructions got me lost and I wish I would have found this pdf sooner because it would have saved me $100 when I had my gsk installed -
