how much is the 3k kit? when you remove the side plug oil will come. not sure how the engine oil cycles back to re fill pump. plus do you have to remove shutoff linkage to get a good look and hold on the springs? -

I believe its PDR that has the 3k for $125 but thats the same as the 4k kit. IMO I would get the 4k and just not use the inner most spring until I got the 60lb valve springs that way theirs hardly any chance of floating your valves -

I plan on doing my rebuild once work goes on our winter shutdown which begins on the Dec 11. That day, right after I leave work, the truck goes to my friends shop and we're pulling everything... Depending on how everything goes and and when my head comes back from ATS, I hope to have it all back together before christmas, then after christmas day I'll be doing my new pump and gsk but I'll bring the truck down to the parents house in Belen -

If you go with the 4k spring kit you'll need 60lb valves springs to keep the valves from floating, that is if you go over 3200 RPM. And if we're working on the pump might as well change out the rack plug and tune your afc -

the plug increasing the rack travel in the afc to allow additional fueling. Its a cheap mod, about $12 for puredieselpower.com

No problem. If you hurry now, L&N is selling governor spring kits for 90 and you can add the valve springs for anothoer 108. The deal on the governor spring is definiely worth it.
