Default Towing mirror

Can anyone tell me where I can buy a replacement glass and holder for my 1996 3500? Someone hit me last night and luckily the dually survived but the drivers side mirror did not. My truck has the GIANT stainless assembly bolted to the door not the nice small plastic mirror like the late3 models. By the way, would one of the new styles work? It would be a nice upgrade if I didn't have all those holes in the door. I have checked EBay and found none of the old styles. Thanks in advance for any help! -

You'd most likely have to go to a glass shop to get it replaced. I know those were the only people who could get the glass and cut it for my tow mirrors (off an 01). But you can upgrade your mirrors to any mirror that has been used on a 2nd gen. The 3rd gen mirrors do not fit, the molding around the mount is bigger than our 2nd gens -

yes the new style will, but it has to be for a 2nd generation.i bought one for $78 and change.some of them are $250 apiece.it looks excellent too,it don't look cheap and it works well, everything is good and tight,it's a great deal,i wouldn't even mess with your old mirrors,i would buy a set of the fold outs.2000 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 3500 Side Tow Mirror Right:eBay Motors (item 110441374049 end time Nov-01-09 08:45:34 PST) -

You can get the KoolVue towing mirrors for the 2nd gen trucks, power and heated. I have a set on the '01 and honestly I can't tell any difference in quality between them and the OEM towing mirrors on my '05. -
