Gibby, Lukes in sylva, I'm in blowing rock , Adam hurdt is in asheville. Feel free to give any of us a call, We'll be glad to walk you through any problems you may have but to get a good feel of what the trucks doing we need to know if the governor arm is making correct contact! You'll notice much more increase when you move the plate, The startwheel without other fuel system upgrades is much less notcible!

All of the factory holset chargers can be drilled and tapped for a boost line there. Is the boost line off the AFC ran to the side of the block and the other port blocked off?

one of the guys on here told me that you can use a small hose clamp to crimp the wastegate line to reduce the flow and it will increase boost and such. i done it and didnt notice anything. if yall know how to do this or if its just a waste of time it would be much appreciated.

There's elbows available, You can drill and tap your charger and wastegate directly off the charger's new elbow. The elbow will Restrict flow causing the wastegate to open later and slower.

It may restric a little flow, But hardly any. It's really a bad Idea because you have no idea if it will prevent the wastegate from doing its job. Real easy way to toast a Turbo!

The blow off valves came around for these trucks when everyone was running a HX-40 style charger. The 40 due to surge issues and very basic compressor and turbine wheel design had a serious problem with powerfull surges breaking the shaft. BD came up with their BOV for the HX40 trucks that were fueling hard. While the newer chargers are more resistant to surge and shaft problems, Surge is still a problem. In the lower HP ranges it's not really required and with a properly designed setup surge is less intensive.

Unless you've had one shaft break already I wouldnt even look at a BOV
