if your timeing is out would it make it shift early and run hotter? i heard of a way to set timeing a red neck way it would be within 2 degrees any one know how to do that?

 

timing has no effect on the shifting of the tranny. the tranny shifts in relation to speed and throttle position.


on the timing adjustment i don't know. it is better to do it once and do it right than to rig it and have problems in the future....

 

really? when aamco rebuilt my tranni they said there was a miss or some thin and it could mess with the tranni? but with od of it shifts to 3rd or wat ever at like 30 when just crusin its shifting sooner. what would cause that? just started out of no where today it started to sputter on take off and now its not doin that but shiffting sooner. and running a lil hotter. i thought it was timeing

 

Well the first mistake was aamco rebuiling the trans. Those guys said they rebuilt mine and charged me for replacing my valve body but when I dropped the pan it was the factory vb they also said the tc was rebuilt yet it still had the cat yellow spraypaint on it from when I painted my trans. Yes I had the cover off don't ask I was drinkin whiskey. Id take it back and ask them wtf or take it to another shop and have them inspect it

 

yeah i was pissed they said 2000 then they get in and say now i need another 700 or some thin for hard parts and it still didnt feel good when they were done. took a while bc the tc they ordered that came was bad they are scams. if i knew it would of almost been 3000 i would of saved and bought a built one. ill take it to them and see wat they say

accually you have a 47RH, the 47RE shifts off of speed, IIRC the RH shifts off of fluid pressure, that is generated by RPM and the front pump. i would say that the detent, or kickdown cable or whatever Dodge calls it that connects from the throttle bracket on the pump and goes down to the tranny is out of adjustment.

 

i thought those dumb asses with such a big name would accutally be able to fix a tranni seein they are "aamco transmissions? i wasnt tryin to save money brandon it was tax return money thats why im sayin i would of saved a few grand more or wat ever and got a suncoast. i have heard of that cable how you do it exactly

 

oh, i know a guy with a 95 that took it to aamco had the same problem then had to by a suncoast anyway.

 

yeah i wish there was a way to like get some money back from em. SUE THERE *** or just regulate on them
