Just bought 97 dodge with an automatic tranny and truck drives just fine. When i hooked up my 23' toy hauler the truck seemed powerless. running 55 mph until i hit the hills and then 35 is the max speed. I have put a K&N ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

? i want to cap this off since it is only a california regulation. the truck is stock .

Any crack in the intake or exhaust will hurt the trucks performace to some degree. Like you said block it off and get a different plate and boost elbow and you should gain about 100ish hp for free if you do the mods yourself.

Good to go. I plan on cutting out the muffler and sticking a straight pipe in its place. I have heard and studied up on these automatic transmissions and they dont hold up to the torque. i just bought this truck for cheap so i could steal the motor and put it in my 89 GMC.
