it better lubricates the pump. but in our case its not needed because our pumps are lubricated off the engine oil. i run it just becasue i get it for a cheep price, i run 1 qt to 35 gallons really no cons except the price, pros, like i said lubrication. i would run like a super outboard 2 stroke or a synthetic just becasue ther better quality

I ran about anything through my tank. the 2 stroke oil will quiet the engine down and will lube the system. Also you should not get any smoke unless you put to much in

diesel kleen is fine. i run the blue bottle 2 stroke ashless stufff at wal mart. its like $10 for a gallon.

All atf is lube the system mainly. The stuff in the bottle tells you what it might help when you use it.
