I would go with a different alternative if i was you.. Try a non oiled cleanable filter.. I have a 2790 and they get dirty 2 quick and are very expensive to replace.

I second that...why have a throw away filter?

AFE ProDry S
AEM Workhorse
AEM DryFlow

are all good filters that you can wash and reuse.

Some people dont like the fact that ist an oiled filter - most of the problems come from improper service. Myself, I prefer something other than K&N.

I see, just a pain to maintain, i just bought the K&N because i got a good deal were i work. hes a dealer. havent really thought about trying a regular filter on the dyno then trying the k&n. they are a bitch to clean and re-oil. maybe i'll make a change.

No - not because I dont like to clean it. They actually filter better when they are dirty. I run a AFE Proguard 7.

Some people dont like the oil thats associated with the oiled filters - feel they pass too much dirt through. Its hard to find a good high flow filter that acutally filters well. With filters, you usally have good filtration with little flow, or just the opposte - good flow and poor filtration - so theres usually a tradeoff, you get one or the other.

i just cant see spending umpteen hundred dollars for what a air filter. cmon its an air filter its not sliced bread. the napa one is 75 bucks anyway. wow. what would be cool would be the old air scoop on the cab over international. just picture that next to your stack peaking over you cab. i hear convoy in the background.
