i have the same pickup and i had a guy change the anaroid (anyone correct me if i am wrong) and shut off the waste gate so it builds more boost in the turbo and it blows more black smoke than my buddys 97 with a new injector pump i would try that im very happy with it

Smoke is a way of life once you get over 500 horse on these trucks. Smoke = heat and heat makes driving on the road no fun. Ask anyone here, I enjoy holding the skinny pedal to the floor but when the gauge wraps I force myself to let out. I want to be able to run through the gears and not haze.

I give this guy 5 months before he comes back on and asks how to make power without clouding out a 4 lane. Or maybe just maybe he will use the search button.
