im guessin its the same as a smoke switch that you tap into one of your map sensor wires which is why i dont know how you put one on a 12v.

if it is an electric BOV you can use a switch to make it stay open so it would let out all the boost and you would just throw out tons of fuel

somehow

thats the only thing i would know of that would work on a 12v as a smoke switch, the valet switch is probably what he meant

nice to see you made it. how i did mine was i got a BD turboguard which has an electric solenoid to hold boost to the top of the valve. when actuated it releases pressure in intake tube and thus blows off. it also comes with a controller that uses the voltage from the tps to blow it off automatically when a set amount of voltage is lost.

I hooked a 12v power wire from a momentary switch with a 5amp fuse hooked to the power wire to the solenoid.

when one pushes the button, the truck will build no more than 5lbs of boost no matter what you do. works good, things can get hot quick, so watch EGT's.

Let me know of anything else i can help ya with.

cool thanx guys. this is way better than cumminsforum u guys actually reply. the turbo guard is kinda pricey. im going to see if i cant dig up another electronically controlled blow off valve from some of the ricer guys here at wyotech. oh and cody that problem i had with the starter was the top bolt fell out and the bottom 2 were loose so the starter wasnt contacting the flywheel.

hey well thats cool, at least the starter was still good. Yea i got my turbo guard from dad, it didnt work right on his, here we found the bov itself had a 55lb spring in it, no wonder it didnt work. im not sure, ill get some numbers and the name off the electronic valve, then all you have to get is a single port blow off valve and weld that to the intercooler tube on the driver side.

Hope the truck works good with twins, i was always dreaming of doing that to that truck, should be sweet, whos twins did you go with?
