Default Nv4500 hard to shift when cold

Since the weathers gotten cooler I've been having shifting issues when cold. Third gear is notchy. After the truck warms up and I drive for awhile it's fine. It seems only third gear is like this and maybe a little notchy on 4th.

The truck currently has an unknown "stage 2" clutch the previous owner told me. It seems to hold the power fine and like I said when it's warmed up it's fine.

Could it be needing a fluid change? I'm not sure when or if it's been changed. Syncros going?

Seems pretty standard. My nv wasn't in mint shape and was a bit fussier when cold. I wouldn't worry about it. Look into fluid if you want. Changing it isn't a bad idea, just make sure you use the dodge or gm stuff when you fill it back up as there's not aftermarket equivaliant anymore. And dealership bend you over hard so prepared to pay for those 5 quarts
