Glowshift gauge problem
#11
I went from 21psi max (stock 12v) to burying my 40psi boost gauge with nothing more than fueling. I never once touched my wastegate, never got a "boost elbow", pinched any lines, or anything. Every time I hear about these things I scratch my head. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure I still have a lot to learn about these trucks, but all these (for lack of a better term) tricks to get more boost out of a stock turbo- I just don't understand the point of them. In my experience, more fuel = more boost. That simple.

Sorry have replied. Been busy as ****. So first off, it ended up being the gauge fucked up. Put 40psi off the compressor and it read 30... Plus my hose was pinched. As for the button it was stuck in. I guess if you hold the button down it will be that color. I grabbed it with a pair of needle nose and just pulled it out. Good as new... Not. Since then I have sent it back and got my new one yesterday. They were really cool about it. They may not be the most expensive gauges but gauges are gauges. I'm happy with them. I mean ****, my mechanic has a 800hp puller with an old oil gauge for boost. Gauges are gauges

Oh and as for driving cold. I'm a farm kid so I know all about letting diesels warm up before pushing them. I got yelled at plenty as a kid for just hoppin in and going. And it's a welded gate, no plate, rack plug, turned up but not a lot. Smokes like a train before lit. Turbo cleans it up well for being stock. But no, I creep everywhere until I feel it's warm
