Default 12v losing prime after raptor 150

truck had a holly black inline of the stock lines. the hard line was cut under the cab, holly and hose was slipped over stock lines and used all stock lines. truck ran fine, never lost prime. the holly finally started going out, i.e( had to get under the truck and tap on the pump for it to come on) so i ordered an raptor 150. all new 1/2 inch lines, the t fitting that connects the stock return to the injector return line, and back to the tank though the stock return lines. truck never had a problem before the raptor install. all push to lock fittings, the stainless fittings that go into the raptor pump have o rings on them, dont have any leaks, ive tried everything. i dont think it's my overflow, because it never gave a problem before the raptor. ive put a new fuel filter on, and when putting it on i loosened it and turned the key on, which i had fuel pouring out immediately. tighten it up, and still have to step on the pedal when cranking to make it fire up. once truck is cranked it runs flawlessly. if the truck sits for over an hour, it will lose prime. if it only sits for 30 mins or so, it cranks fine. \

any help is appreciated.
