Question Late Shifts at WOT?

Ok,so im somewhat new to the 12v but it seems to me the truck shifts late or that might just me the pleasure of have the 47re?It will shift 1-2 at 2,000-2,200,2-3 at 2,600-2,800,3-4 at 2,500-2,700?The truck just feels so weak when it does this but maybe cause defuel at 2,000-2,200 rpms. But if i dont mash it to the floor it shifts threw all the gears with decent power. But WOW when it shifts into O/D its like a whole new beast!I also tried to mess with the TV cable ,zero difference though..Also my max boost i can get is only 31-32 Psi?Could this be do to defueling also?Any feedback would be Awesome!

I too experience the same thing ..... Mine was not going in to od either ... Temp sensor was to blame....

I bought a new VB .... Fixed it right up ... Shifts great and real positive ... Not harsh though

So which one solved your problem, the VB or temp sensor? And how would a temp sensor affect the shifting of the truck, just curious?

Would my 4:10 gearing come into this problem also?Im just trying to get it to shift correctly and it randomly started happening awhile back! But I never really bothered to look into it but now it's irritating me a little bit

The trans won't shift into Od until a certain temperature from coolant .... Unless your over a certain speed....

the VB was the best fix of all .....

the speed sensor, and the TPS can also play hell with ya as well...

the tighter the tv cable the later the shifts the looser the earlier. too loose and you burn it all up though. does it flare? what speeds is it shifting not rpms. should go into OD at about 45mph. IV fluid is full synthetic and doesnt burn or smell like type F or earlier type fluids.

If there is any or much slack in the TV cable your gonna experience odd shift patterns ...

My truck began shuttle shifting , not letting me have OD even at 35-40 mph ....

So today I was replacing the return lline that has been leaking fuel for a bit .... was under the truck ... noticed my speed sensor wiring was really loose in the plug ..... used some soldier seal but connectors and guess what ... shifts AWESOME again ...!!!! so silly ..

so late shifts or shuttle shifts , as it seemed to be in my case ... speed sensor not giving the correct signals to tcm or ecm ( wich ever is the case 47rh ) ... so dang glad it shifts normal again .... been doing that on and off for a while ... nailed it down finally

Not to hijack the topic, but I wonder if that would cause my speedo needle to periodically float up 40mph or so faster than I'm driving and then settle back to accurate. I've had a lot of fluids all over that area for years, and I've got some miles on it.
