Default Issues Starting and smoking bad when it does

I have a 98 Dodge Diesel, 12v. All of a sudden it would not start, I have changed the lift pump and fuel filter. Now I can get it to start by pushing on the fuel while cranking it over, it takes a while to start and idles rough. It smokes a lot and there is raw fuel coming out of the tail pipe. For a truck that ran very good one day and to this the next I am lost, any help or suggestions would be great.

Pretty much the same symptoms I just had, crimp the return line and see if it stays running. If it does, you need a overflow valve.

Let me know what you get
