Default ticking sound help

i have a 98 12v with a killer bee super and bd 3 piece exhaust manifold i have had this sound before i put new parts on sounds like an exhaust leak but only makes this ticking air loss sound under boost i put new air to air boots on checked all clamps reseated injectors and replaced the line between intake and injector pump driving me nuts anyone have any ideas to find this leak? kinda sounds like when wasegate relieves extra boost i am running about 35-37 lbs

Im talking since you discovered the tick?My guess is either low fuel pressure to IP ot bad overflow valve?Or bad lift pump if you have stock lift pump?Check your fuel pressure

If you have a clean shop vac. I REALLY MEAN CLEAN , you don't won't to blow dirt into your engine. But fix it to blow and tape it to your exhaust and use some soap in a spray bottle and check for bubbles. Again a clean shop vac even a clean hose.

My lift pump ticks. It's the original. Kinda loud, sort of pisses me off. Been doing it for about, oh, 120K now...

It's because its mechanical but the ticking can get very aggressive when she's on her way out but some might not.

Well, it's still pushing 30psi or more cruising around, 25+ ***** to the wall, 22-25 at idle, so, not too worried yet. I've been saying that for two years now though, so...
