Default avoiding a run away

Is there anyone out there that makes any kind of turbo block off to fit on front of the compressor housing between it and the intake tube, with maybe a switch or a lever to pull from in the cab? Just curious, I thought it would be a good idea being at 330k and having worn rings/burning oil
I have heard of the CO2 injection into the intake but didn't know if there was anything else out there, or if so, which is better. Im interested in something due to the fact that I will not be getting a new truck anytime soon and I need to keep it alive!

330 isnt anything to be worried about .... wont overspeed unless you go tinkering with the IP ....

A cheap 4" blast gate will work for what you are doing

AHHH HA! That's exactly what I had pictured in my mind that I was thinking about fabricating but for 5 or 10 bucks, ill just buy one.

Also today it was finally fry enough to make it up the hill from my shop (I need gravel bad) and test out my truck since I re timed it.
WELL, It hung up.... But after just thinking about installing a cut off I thought it was about to runaway . Threw it in neutral and I cut it off.... Whewww. After I changed my pants
I popped the hood and the throttle linkage was caught on the IP. The whole rod is loose and every nut... not sure how, but does anyone know EXACTLY how it goes back or do I just tighten it all up.

I did notice once I cranked it back up it didn't want to crank. It cranked and died. Tried again with some throttle and it was idling at about 3-400 with my foot on it. I limped it home. no I need to do some adjusting

yeah you will have to adjust it, while your adjusting it make sure it goes to full throttle. Have someone in the cab work it to full throttle and back to make sure it just hits the throttle stop. Also make sure you don't have the linkage in backwards it should not hit the pump
