do tow test ..... up hill ..... that will test usable power ...... the 460 is an animal when built correctly , but there is absolutely no competition with a 6BT or any other diesel worth mentioning ..... actually a 4bt will out tow a.stock 460 ... seen it done .... in a toyota dulley one ton .... .... was frekin hysterical ...

the 460 is gonna destroy you. his wheel speed will be so much faster than you. he probably has 100 hp on you and nearly the same tq as you. hold on. i loved my old big block. bulled powerstrokes all over. it was on 44's and and had about a gazzillion $ invested but it was still fun destroying the grease smashers.

think about it. sled pullers dont go full pull by not spinning the tires do they? they spin all the way down the track. pray the other guy puts his in 4 low. keep yours in 4 high and let her spin. like 60 mph wheel speed. hes gonna win though. i love drunk hill billies. it takes me back.

this all assuming it is in the dirt and not the pavement. and your truck is stock and only revs to 2200 rpms.

LOL did you know that it take only 3 grown men to hold back a 4x4 geo tracker in the yard. i was hoping for 4.

Pulling a sled and tugging trucks are two different things. The sled isn't pulling the opposite direction. If you break traction first it will be easier for the other person to pull you the other way. Why do you think it's against the rules to put ur brakes on at tug-o-wars?

its the exact same thing just less weight (AKA 4-high). an opposing force trying to slow you down. the faster you are going the harder it is to slow you down. so if you get going your direction harder and faster than the other guy does who weighs the same amount as you and similiar power and traction than your gonna pull him. however he is going to most likely do this to you hes got more ponies. but ide love to see your battle. i used to love breakin stuff like this than i ran out of money. LOL

and the difference clint would be with the surfaces you are pulling on. if you are on asphalt than absolutely you want no wheel spin. this will result in a loss of traction and very very bad wheel hop, drive line parts scattered about and such, however on dirt you wanna have the truck sit down and dig. you want the tires to displace dirt and drag you forward. there is nothing to displace on asphalt.

my old big block ford is on my profile under toys.
