I'm thinking of running a full manual vb and lockup setup on my 47RE. I'm looking for advice/opinions from guys who have ran this kind of setup on the street. the trucks going to be driven regularly on the streets and pull once in awhile. I want more control for hauling trailers and pulling/plus fun to drive. my wife doesn't want a manual because she drives the truck as well. Any input would be appreciated before I spend my money on something I wont like. Thanks guys.

 

97 cummins recently got a switch for OD and for lock up separately ..... says its real nice ... as for me I like to shift mine manually up and down ....

 

What vb did u run? Brand wise? And what shifter?

 

I have a HD converter and I just use the factory shifter on column ... i just make sure i keep a mental note of what gear im in and know what i'm gonn do next .... nothing special in the pan ... factory VB .... turned upthe pressures a bit but nothing real excting there ...
