Default Stereo swap

This may be a stupid question, but I'm putting a new head unit in my 1995 Dodge Ram 3500. Is there a way to get the old stereo (I think it's factory) out of the dashboard without disassembling the entire dash?

just pop the IC bezal off and wrangle it out, disconnect cig lighter connector and the stereo bolts are right there, two connectors and its out, im guessing roughly 5 minutes to have it out

gravy job, good luck

Got the bezel off, got the new radio wired up (although the universal adapter I bought on Amazon just sits kind of loosely in the opening, I wish there was a way to secure it better.)

Unfortunately, the plastic was old and brittle and I managed to crack it in a couple of places. So I'm unable to reattach my cup holders, and reassembly will be interesting..

, my cupholder has been under my seat for about 2 years since the time some ******* broke into my truck to steal my cheapo 6'' lcd screen cd/dvd player, i keep telling myself to stop by our bodyshop to fix it but keep forgetting

working on cars you find all sorts of things holding radios in, one time I found a radio that had something close to a full box of maxipads jamming it into the hole and keeping it secure

good work

Success! Everything's wired up, and the dash is back together. Truck sounds good, and now I have iPod (well, technically iPhone) tunes as well.

I threw out the ashtray because, well, I don't smoke. So now I'm trying to think of something to do with that space. I thought about power outlets, but I already have two. So I'll have to think of something more original.

Also haven't put the drink holders back in yet. Trying to think of ways to reinforce those flimsy mounts. Ideas welcome.
