Default Help, Cold starting problems

Got my 96 12v back in aug and love it, but now come the cold and im having problems. If the truck is plugged in it starts every time, but if its not no game. When i try to start it i get maybe two or three turns over and then the truck is dead and has to be jumped. Sucks not being able to go anywhere and leave the truck. have to leave it running or go out and start it every hour or so.

Sounds like bad batteries to me. It should crank longer then that without needing a jump.

What size batteries should it have? It has two newer ones in the truck.

I try to run 2 1000 cold cranking amp batteries but thats just me. But 2 850 cold cranking amp batteries will work just fine.
