what would it take to swap ZF6 into 95 12v with 47rh auto
I have a 1995 dodge 12v cummins. It has an automatic 47rh transmisson with 241 DHD transfer case. I would like to take it out and put a ZF6 in it. So what dodge parts would i have to get and what ford parts. Custom drive shaft, clutch, anything? Adapter plate for T-case or would i need ZF6 T-case? If anyone knows please list everything including the obvious like pedals, lines, everything. I wanna make sure I get everything!

go to destroked.com they have the adapter plate you will need, I have been thinking of doing this swap myself. you could run the ford T-case but you will have to adapt the shifter and you will loose your vacuum switch on the t case for your 4wd, or find an adapter for the zf to a 241, other than that, the ford ZF has cooler lines so you could adapt them to your automatic cooler already in the truck. Then you gotta figure out what clutch is gonna work, I know the gm Zf has an 1 3/8 input shaft, not sure about the ford. adapt your clutch hydraulics, and the driveshafts in your dodge may work.
Since you have an auto, you will need the clutch pedal, master cylinder, slave cylinder and lines from a dodge. Shifter from the Ford. then you will need to wire up your reverse lights to work with the ZF, Most of these projects end up needing more than they seem so you just have to commit to it and do what it takes to get it done, Some things you dont see until the swap is most of the way done, so having a spare vehicle is not a bad idea either.
