Default blinker problem help

Ok guys just noticed my blinker problem on my truck. When i turn on the blinker both lights will blink on the rear unless i move some wires that are just hanging down from the truck not sure were they go or what there for. Also if blinker is on then i hit the brakes they just say on like a regular light until i let off the brake.Last but not lease i have no reverse lights but it just could be the bulbs on both i havent checked here is some pics of someones wiring job.And can you tell me what this **** is for on the engine i am thinking a fuel regulator but not sure still new to this truck.

Its a pretty simple job for a DIY. Look online for wire color codes and tackle it.

Sent from my high IQ phone.

Yep just use a multimeter to check and verify all wire colors and use solder and shrink tube to make the best connections.

ok guys i found the reason why my wires are so messed with under my dash i came across a kelsey energize brake controller. I dont know if this is good are not but i am pretty sure im going to unhook it all and pull it out just wondering if you guys have any ideas if this is a good idea all i see it hooked up to are wires in the back by rear lights which come from a toggle switch and a wire just laying in my engine bay guessing was going to the battery.
