| 06-07 LBZ Bombs (Aftermarket) Discussion of Chevy and GMC Trucks with LBZ Duramax Turbo Diesel Engines Related To Performance And Longevity |
I took off the cat and the muffler and I do not like the sound. Sounds like the Tin Man farting. Will it sound better with 4 or 5 inch or do I need a muffler? I really want to hear the turbo whistle. Thanks ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

that tin man fating noise is the what all the lly and lbz make. the noice can be tuned at idle though
if you want more whistsle plug the resonator and mod the intake, if thats not enough then remove the resonator and get an intake. |

its the vvt, look up some lbz or lly trucks on youtube and they all sound like tin men unless they got rid of the vvt turbo.
the truck will get louder the bigger piping you choose. also lowering egts is a plus |

Do u really need a muffler?? Or can u get away with running just straight pipe?? Cause i cut out my muffler and turned it out infront of my rear tire and then did the air box mod. Now it whistles like crazy!!
