I'd get rid of the CAT unless you are in an area that requires visual inspections or opacity tests for emissions. 4" works just fine until you start pushing over 500hp at the wheels.

The biggest EGT drop will be from a Catback ya gain a little more losing the cat and if you block off the EGR, but you could set a CEL more likely if you do the cat and you will set a code if you block off the EGR. I would just cut out what ever you want muffler/cat and get some pipe from a muffler shop. The codes can be avoided with a Finger stick and removing anything other then the muffler could cause you some trouble at the dealer.

I think you have something wrong with it then because 800* is way to low. I wouldn't be surprised if you shouldn't be able to bury at 1600* pyro with the Hot. How many HP is level 3 and what are your cruising temps?

Level 3 is 160hp at the crank, i may have mis represented a little cruising at75-80mph around 800* I never do WO 0 - 80 or 90mph, I don't go wide open through 4th 5th 6ht because my tranny needs to live for a while. Still I have done hard launches like I said above not all the way through all the gears but my gage has never read more than 800* that I have seen. Sorry for the confusion and i did not mean to mislead.

Default Egts

How do you keep your EGT'S so low. With Triple Dog on performance I've seen as much as 1250. Performance is supposed to be around 85 hp at the wheels.

He does most of it with his right foot, but 1250* is nothing to worry about. I see that on a little hill while towing.
